The Ask : The Head of Tours contacted me, interested in having a fresh flyer to excite touring actors and actresses to 'hit the road' with Theatre IV ON TOUR. I was given little instruction as to how the layout of the flyer should be, so I was able to direct the look and feel of the content with consideration to past flyers and the current interest of the company.

The Situation : Virginia Repertory Theatre’s touring company program was going on 40 some years, and has been named one of the nations most successful non profit programs for childhood development programming.

The Opportunity : Theatre IV wasn't getting as many new touring actors and actresses into the mix each year, so they wanted to go for a look that would inspire action, while hearkening back to the history of the program - knowing that touring actors wanted to engage in programs that have a long-standing success rate.

The Solution: I designed an 8-fold flyer that could fit in your pocket, perfect for those performers on-the-run for the next big show. The copy covered the full spectrum of the commitment of touring , and displayed a map and historical imagery from the beginning days of Theatre IV on Tour, expressing the joy felt while touring and acting.
