The Ask :
Kate Bluestine, owner of of Katie Blue Salon came to me interested in testing the waters for a possible extended social media reality video series that would share the Katie Blue experience with their growing social community online.
The Situation :
There was word on the street that Katie Blue wasn't for real. Overall gossip that wasn't the truth of the Salon. Kate wanted to show the community that her business and love for the art of beauty and unique looks was authentic.
The Opportunity :
Capture the raw day-to-day business of a southern emo cowgirl beauty salon.
The Solution :
Merge into the culture of the space through working compassionately along the stylists and their customers, working as a two man shooter and director production company with in-house lighting and limited production equipment. We produced 4 shorts, 2 60 sec. and two 30 sec.
